A dental public health specialist at the Dubai Academic Health Corporation, Dr Shiamaa Almashhadani has served as the Dubai Health Authority's Dental Services Department's initiative leader for the oral and dental care strategy. She has developed and led oral health school-based programs, oral health and NCDs and oral health and disabilities programs, as well as polices and guidelines for the community dentistry in Dubai. Dr Almashhadani is an expert member of the national committee for oral and dental screening In the United Arab Emirates and has recently been involved in digital screening for school children project in Saudi Arabia and mentorship program for Alliance of oral health across borders. She is currently a member of the dental internship program focusing on building skills of dental community care in future dentists, with a special interest in access to oral health care for children with special needs.
