Dr Sanjivan Kandasamy is a specialist orthodontist who completed his dental degree at the University of Western Australia, his orthodontic training at the University of Melbourne followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at Saint Louis University, USA and a Master of Science in Medicine in Orofacial Pain Management at the University of Sydney. Dr Kandasamy is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at Saint Louis University and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Western Australia and an Affiliate member of the Angle Northwest Society, USA.  He is the Deputy Editor of the Australian Orthodontic Journal and the first Australian to become an Associate Editor for the American Journal for Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He is on the Editorial Board of Seminars in Orthodontics. He has published numerous articles in the peer reviewed literature as well as eight textbook chapters and the first ever textbook on TMD and Orthodontics.
