Discipline lead of oral pathology at UWA Dental School, the University of Western Australia, Dr. Omar Kujan received his doctorate (Ph.D.) and fellowship (FRCPath) from the UK and published many highly cited publications on the topic of oral potentially malignant disorders and oral cancer including the latest 2021 classification by the WHO Collaborating Group for Oral Cancer. He is a co-author of 2022 WHO blue book of Head & Neck Tumours Classification, and he has also authored over 100 peer-review publications in high-impact journals, in addition to several book chapters. Dr. Kujan developed an innovative minimally invasive oral brush to obtain oral samples for the diagnosis of oral cancer and has developed new classification for oral lesions.
