John practises part time in Canberra, Australia as a visiting orthodontist with the ACT Cleft Lip and Palate Program.

His research interests are in the fields of glass-ionomer cements and 3D imaging and has published on these topics in peer reviewed Australian and International journals.

He also has a keen interest in professional education and has lectured part time within Australian Dental Schools and presented to Dental Conferences in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Ireland, Thailand and Cambodia.

Recently he completed a PhD at the ANU on the topic of effective CPD for the Dental Profession.

In 2010 he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to the Dental Profession
