Following qualification from Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 2000 and receipt of a PhD degree in 2007 with thesis entitled “Comparison of antibacterial effects of dentin bonding agents in vitro”, Professor Hande Sar Sancakli continued in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry as research assistant, receiving her associate professorship degree in 2012. She has been a Visiting Lecturer in King’s College Dental Institute, Guy’s Hospital and studied dental erosion with Prof. Dr David Bartlett. She has publications in internationally/nationally indexed journals, book chapters and international conferences, seminars and hands-on courses in restorative dentistry about adhesive dentistry, minimal invasive dentistry and restorative materials. In addition to memberships in international scientific associations, Prof. Sar Sancakli serves as a member of the board of Istanbul University, a board member of the Turkish Restorative Dentistry Association, and a board member of the Turkish Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.
