A paediatric dentist, Associate Professor Donna Hackley, DMD, MA, MPH is an Assistant Professor in Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology in the Office of Global and Community Health at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Her global projects centre on educating an interdisciplinary workforce, identifying burdens of oral disease, reducing oral diseases by tackling upstream determinants, and strengthening health systems to improve health. As co-founder of HSDM’s Sustainability Committee, A/Prof. Hackley works to engage inter-professional collaboration in assessment and improvement of sustainable practices at HSDM. As a leader of the American Dental Education Association's Special Interest Group on Sustainability in Dentistry, she encourages inclusion of sustainability in dental education. Dr. Hackley strives to promote contextually relevant, sustainable, and inclusive development and to leverage her practical experiences to inform operations and policy.
