Professor Emeritus of Global Oral Health in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London, Professor David Williams was previously Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences at the University of Southampton and then Vice Provost. Awarded the IADR Gold Medal in 2021, he is Co-chair of the FDI Vision 2030 Working Group, and he also Chairs the Working Group overseeing its implementation. Prof. Williams is a member of the Advocacy Task Team, and a member of the Oral Health Observatory Task Team, and Chairs of the Science Committee.  He was Co-Chair of the Project Team that has developed the Standard Set of Adult Oral Health Outcome Measures, a joint initiative of the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement and the FDI. Professor Williams was joint Editor-in-Chief of the FDI Oral Health Atlas The Challenge of Oral Disease- A Call for Global Action.
