Currently serving as the President of the International Association of Dental Traumatology and is a Fellow of IADT, Professor Anne O'Connell is a Board certified in Pediatric Dentistry and is a Fellow of AAPD, and a Diplomate of the ABPD. Prof. O’Connell trained at the Eastman Dental Center with a further degree in Cariology from the University of Rochester, New York, and she has served on faculty in Eastman Dental Center, the University of Maryland and the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, USA. Anne has been Head of Paediatric Dentistry at Trinity College, Dublin since 2000, running UG and PG training programmes, with her areas of interest including cariology, traumatic oral injuries, infant oral health and developmental defects of the dentition. Prof. O’Connell is a renowned international speaker on these topics and she has been active in numerous national and international organisations including IADT, AAPD, IADR and IAPD.
