A clinician (osteopath) with over 20 years’ experience working with people with chronic pain, Ms. Alison Sim obtained a master’s degree in pain management from the University of Sydney where she is currently enrolled in a PhD. Her research looks at ways in which we can identify and manage distress in clinical situations to prevent the development of chronic pain. Ms. Sim has taught pain management science and skills to clinicians for many years, with her teaching focusing on the practical skills that we can adopt as clinicians to better improve our outcomes.
