Show me the evidence: how do we make the decision?
This seminar will concentrate on helping practitioners understand where to find and how to interpret the best evidence to inform their practice. There are many journal articles, advertisements and many systematic that present the "evidence" about products and techniques. This presentation will discuss how you can simply interpret the literature and how you can question the "sales" pitch frequently heard from companies and lecturers. Practitioners will be better able design practices that remain current with technologies and techniques.

- Participants will learn the difference between evidence-informed v expert consensus generated guidelines to allow the general practitioner to deliver the best patient care.
