Oral manifestations of boullis mucocutaneous diseases
Acute or chronic bullous mucocutaneous diseases such as Erythema multiforme, Stevens- Johnson syndrome, Pemphigus vulgaris, Mucous membrane pemphigoid, Bullous pemphigoid, Lichen planus (bullous type) manifest in the oral cavity. The manifestation of these diseases in the oral cavity can be the only one, or precede other mucosal or skin manifestations. This presentation aims to describe the etiopathology, the clinical characteristics of the diseases, the diagnostic approach and laboratory tests needed for the differential diagnosis, as well as the therapeutic management. It will provide the Dentist with the knowledge and the tools to manage his patient accurately.
