Scientific Programme (On Demand)
Session Description
CBCT in clinical practice: expanding clinical use
Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) provides the dental clinician with a cost and dose efficient radiographic modality capable of accurate three-dimensional imaging of the maxillofacial region . This presentation provides an overview of maxillofacial CBCT with current clinical and emerging applications in dental practice. Other clinical considerations in the adoption of this technology are discussed including evidence-based guidelines for use, professional responsibilities including radiologic interpretation, low dose imaging and artificial intelligence.
